There are 5 islands in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park which are Gaya Island, Manukan Island, Mamutik Island, Sapi Island and Sulug Island.
Tunku Abdul Rahman Park or TAR Park situated just off the coast of Kota Kinabalu. It is only a short boat ride away from Kota inabalu town and are very famous spot for day-tripper either locals residents or foreign tourists.

SAPI ISLAND
Sapi means 'Cow' is Malay. Literally known as 'Cow' island in Malay and it is only 25-acre big and just off the south-western tip of Gaya Island. Sapi Island features one of the nicest beaches in the park, it is the most famous island and became the favorite of tourists for snorkeling and scuba diving.
Sapi Island is also one of the busiest island with foreign tourists and local residents among all islands in Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. For those who envisage relaxation or some level of average water sports, Sapi Island provide the opportunities for banana boat ride, flying fish, jet skiing, and parasailing.
Or tourist can just swim around in the crystal clear sea, snorkel, or just relax on the white sand beach.
Sapi island not only offer more nature experience, they also offer the new activity such as Coral Flyer which is the longest island to island zipline in the world and made this island a little more exciting!
MAMUTIK ISLAND
If you are looking for a quite beach to laze around, relax on the white sand and just unwind, we suggest you to visit Mamutik Island. Mamutik island is a small island with big space.
Tourist that wanted to avoid the crowd will love Mamutik Island is it have less tourist than Sapi Island and Manukan Island. Mamutik Island has long stretch of white sandy beach about 200 meters in length.
Besides, Mamutik island is thought to have the best snorkeling and is a renowned dive site for novice divers with its shallow water and gentle currents.
MANUKAN ISLAND
Manukan Island is the second largest island after Gaya Island. Manukan Island is the most famous island among tourists and local residents. Also one of the busiest island with local residents and foreign tourists.
Manukan Island is located just off the coast of Kota Kinabalu and is easily accessible by boat. Manukan Island has some great stretches of beaches on the southern coastline. Thus the best beach is on the eastern tip of the island. Offshore of the island are coral reefs which is great and is ideal for snorkeling, diving and swimming activities.
